Major Ron and Major Carol Lemirand retire, Capt. Joshua and Capt. Rhegan Stansbury to take over June 27, 2018

The Salvation Army will say “Farewell” to the retiring officers, Major Ron and Major Carol Lemirand, at a reception to be held June 24, 2018 at the open pavilion in Red Arrow Park.  A Sunday Service to celebrate “God’s Blessings on the work of The Salvation Army in this community and the challenge to continue to obey His call to each of us,” will be held at 10:30am, with a cookout and covered dish luncheon, followed by a public reception of desserts and lemonade from 1 p – 3 p. The public is welcome.

“We have a deep desire to thank folks in these communities for the great support given Ron and I.  Everything in the past 4 years and prior, are a result of willing people who came alongside us and enjoyed the same vision we had. Volunteers range from food donations via churches, stores, and individuals: gifts, books, blankets, clothing, school supplies; to bell ringing, grants and financial support.  It’s been exciting to see how God has expanded the capacity to serve and even more exciting to cheer on the expansion into the future,” says Major Carol.

The Lemirands will retire to Green Bay, where they both grew up.  They left Green Bay 41 years ago to begin their calling to serve in The Salvation Army.  Ron and Carol will be honored at a luncheon and recognition of Salvation Army service May 26 in Green Bay.

June 27, 2018 - Captain Joshua and Captain Rhegan Stansbury will officially begin their tenure serving in place of the Lemirands.  Stansbury’s have 3 children (Isabella 10, Lillianah 8, and Josias 2).  They will transfer to Marinette from Springfield, Illinois.  “It will be exciting to have a beautiful young family bring different talents and energy to the area and connect more Salvation Army programs with the Marinette School district,”  the sentiments of Major Ron and Major Carol.
