Fond du Lac Corps Receives Territorial Pathway of Hope Award

Oct 17, 2016 | by Krachel Greenwood

Annually, the Central Territory awards recognition and financial incentive to a Corps in each Division that are achieving the major Pathway of Hope outcomes including: successful implementation of the team approach, development of community partnerships, active caseload and enrollment of new families, and successful integration of pastoral care Corps Congregation in work with Pathway of Hope families. This year Central Territory and the Wisconsin & Upper Michigan Division are proud to present this award to the Fond du Lac Corps.

The Fond du Lac Corps describes themselves as the team that God assembled to implement Pathway of Hope that allows them to leverage the best outcomes for each Pathway of Hope family. As a team they appreciate the unique skills and talents of each member and are humbled by the impact they have as they work with Pathway of Hope families following William Booth’s directive of compassionately putting others first.

During 2016 the Fond du Lac Corps enrolled 10 new families in Pathway of Hope and had 5 families successfully complete! To best support these families in their endeavors the Fond du Lac team has developed a networks of community support they can call on for needs that arise and to provide support and encouragement to the Pathway of Hope families.

Finally, the Corps congregation has embraced Pathway of Hope and eagerly taken on the roles of actively praying for the families, provided tangible gifts and graciously welcoming the families to Corps programs.
