Character Building Youth Programs

Wausau Character Building Youth Programs

Whether a young person is just starting first grade or finishing high school, The Salvation Army of Wausau offers opportunities for them to grow in Christ, do good for their community, meet people, make new friends, go places, increase their self-esteem and confidence and discover how they can impact the world.

The Salvation Army Character Building groups are very similar to groups like Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. We meet once a week to learn applicable lessons about God and about life. Children will earn badges for the things they learn and can win awards for participation.

We invite children between the ages of 4 and 17 to participate in Character Building Groups.

Prayer Requests

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7,NIV)

Are you bearing a burden of body, mind or spirit? Maybe you have some concerns that need prayer and you'd like to know that someone will pray for you.

If this sounds like you, please take a moment and submit your prayer request to Lieutenant Vatthana Thammavongsa at Vatthana_Thammavongsa@usc.salvationarmy.org or Lieutenant Donna Thammavongsa at Donna_Thammavongsa@usc.salvationarmy.org.

You may also call in your request by dialing (715) 845-4272 ext 101.
